WG1 · Sense
Advanced sensing capabilities.
WG1 · Aim
Advanced sensing capabilities
Develop chemical sensors that detect specific or combined cues such as pH, ionic strength, light, temperature, gradients and mechanical stress. Reliable sensing at low concentrations, and coupling of different stimuli, needs new materials, new chemistry and the links between them.
Tasks
- T1.1 Bring together sensor and soft-electronics experts with systems chemists and soft-matter physicists
- T1.2 Train participants on sensing approaches and device fabrication
- T1.3 Co-design devices with designers and artists
WG leader: elected at the kick-off meeting on 1 November 2026.
